[ History of Rajput Bhatti ]
Rajput Bhatti are a tribe of Rajputs. Bhatti Rajputs were great Horse & Camel Riders and Warriors.
Rajput Bhatti warriors were often known to fight until the last man.
The first Nishan-e-Haider was also Conqured by our beloved Campt. Raja Mohammad Sarwar (Bhatti) Shaheed in 1948 Kashmir War & Major Aziz Bhatti Shaheed in 1965 in the Burki Area of the Lahore Sector, was awarded the
Nishan-e-Haider, The Nation's highest military award for gallantry, is a Great Example of it.
They reside for the most part in " central Punjab ". Their reign spread to Punjab and Afganistan.
The Rajput Bhatti's of the Punjab started converting to Islam in the 15th century during the time of Bahlol Khan Lodhi.
Bhatti Rajputs were said to be great marksmen. Bhatti Rajputs of Pakistan originate with the
Bhatti Rajputs of Jaisalmer. Later ofter facing a defeat They came to Kashmir and from Kashmir they made settlements in Potohar, Islamabad & Rawalpindi (Golra Sharif & Rewat), Hazara (Haripur surroundings) and Central Punjab (Pindi Bhattian, Gujrat and Sialkot).
Their are certain monuments in Lahore such as Bhati Gate which states their rule on Lahore which they Conquered from Mahmood Ghazanavi. The Bhati Gate Entrance is located on the Western wall of the Old City of Lahore.
The Rajput Bhatti's in early times were driven across the river Indus, the Bhattis are of some antiquity their legends connect them with Jaisalmer in Rajasthan (earlier Rajputana). The Rajput Bhattis are genetically similar to other Upper Castes.
